Our Mission
Our Approach to your wellness
What you get at Pain Relief Chiropractic & Massage
Pain Relief (PR) Chiropractic is just that. It is about alleviating pain. Health and wellness also involves functional movement. That means movements and activities of daily living should be accomplishable without pain and without needing to conform. There is a great deal more but we are passionate about getting you out of pain and back to your personal best so that you can create your personal record, your PR. Our PR approach is to help you make your PR a reality!
OUR GOAL for each of our patients is to develop the proper movement at every joint. When our patients visit us for treatment, we focus on much more than just the isolated areas of their pain; we first work to locate and then to address the root causes of their pain and discomfort. This means examining and working with joints, muscles, ligaments, and other soft tissues of the body, not just the spine.
YOUR FIRST VISIT with us will take a little longer than subsequent visits, probably close to 30-45 minutes. In this initial visit, we will discuss the reason for your visit, cover your medical history, perform mobility and spinal exams, share and discuss the results, and create a plan that is customized to your needs and how to improve your quality of life.
YOUR SUBSEQUENT VISITS, although shorter, will include a summary from you including; feedback on how you responded to treatment and what helped you the most. You will share at each visit how you are progressing, what is still bothering or hindering your progress, and we, together, will investigate solutions so that nothing is impeding your progress. This visit will involve explanations by the doctor to answer why we are doing certain treatments, exercises, adjustments. The doctor will advise you things that you can do to help yourself. Your ability to follow through with prescribed stretches, posture, and exercises at home will greatly enhance your health and our efforts in the office. Of course, no plan is set in stone; as needed we personalize the care patients receive to do what’s best for them.
How Pain Relief Chiropractic & Massage Is Different
More and more often, chiropractors are persuading patients to commit to several months of treatment (up to as much as a nine-month treatment “plan”), and require payment upfront, but Dr. White believes that it is more effective to re-evaluate the patient’s progress at each visit and make whatever modifications to the treatments that the patient’s specific situation requires. Almost any chiropractor can adjust a spine, but you deserve a professional, licensed chiropractic physician that knows when and how to adjust your back, that knows when further exercise and diet needs to play a more significant role, and whether something else needs to be further examined. Whether you are trying to improve your general health or recover from an injury, you need to have the clear guidance and proper care that Pain Relief Chiropractic & Massage delivers to every patient.
Pain Relief Chiropractic & Massage has a top priority to get you out of pain and allow your body proper biomechanical movement. Motion in the joints and muscles allows the body flexibility. You don’t have to put up with pain or a stiff back, so come in and let us create a treatment that is right for you.
About Chiropractic
What is A Chiropractor
A chiropractor earns a doctorate to become a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.). A doctor of chiropractic is focused on the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, which are concerned with the nerves, muscles, and soft tissue, with an emphasis on treatment through adjusting the joints of the body. The brain is where the nervous system begins and ends. The brain sends signals to muscles of the body to coordinate movement (including posture), sensory (touch/hot/cold/pressure/tingling/numbness/pain), hormones, which include digestion, the sleep and wake cycle, and such things as vision, memory, and speech. Parts of these nerves are solely located in the head, but many important nerves travel down the spine into various parts of the body.
What do Chiropractors do?
Chiropractors’ goals are often to reduce pain and improve functional movements that pertain to daily life. In some cases, chiropractors can also help improve specific movements needed in certain events or sports. While treating the patient, there is customized information that is used to educate the patient. This way the patient is more capable to account for their own health through exercise, ergonomics, posture, and other therapies to treat their own pain. Our goal is to help you have healthy, pain-free movement in both the joints and the muscles.
